We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Bookkeeping to join our team and help ensure quality, consistency, and technical depth across our accounting processes. This person will play a key role in supporting the team with complex cases, strengthening technical knowledge, and evolving our best practices. Our clients are primarily startups and tech-driven businesses operating as C-Corps in the U.S., and our environment is fast-paced and dynamic.

Responsibilities.

• Serve as a technical reference for the bookkeeping team, providing deep expertise in U.S. accounting standards (US GAAP).
• Support the review of monthly bookkeeping deliverables and internal processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with complex accounting matters such as revenue recognition, SAFEs, convertible notes, multi-entity structures, crypto wallets, and more.
• Document and update internal bookkeeping procedures and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and support their ongoing development.
• Collaborate on client onboarding and financial report reviews.
• Coordinate with tax and advisory teams when deeper accounting insight is needed.

Requisitos

Requirements.

Must-haves:

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with U.S.-based clients.

- Strong command of QuickBooks Online and collaborative tools like Google Sheets or Excel.

- Solid understanding of US GAAP.

- Advanced English (both written and spoken).

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify risks or improvement areas in complex accounting setups.

Nice-to-haves:

- Knowledge of accounting for crypto assets.

- Familiarity with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).

- Basic understanding of transfer pricing concepts.

- Previous experience in external or internal audit.

- Experience with tools such as Gusto, Ramp, Bill, Expensify, Relay, Mercury, etc.
